PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified here for chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone and seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core. Expect good resistance to strong acids and solvents, steam, and nearly all process chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -75°F (-59.4°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges are present.
