This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-382 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile measuring an inside diameter of 12.975 in (329.57 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 13.395 in (340.23 mm), catalogued under part number SH70382. It uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for reliable performance in both static and dynamic service, the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer.
