The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Polyurethane (AU/EU) is specified here for long wear life in dynamic reciprocating service and toughness that outperforms conventional rubber compounds. The compound resists impact and shock loading, ozone, and abrasion and wear. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 200°F (93.3°C) in continuous service.
