Part number SV70386 is an AS568-386 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 16.955 in (430.66 mm), a cross section of 0.21 in (5.33 mm), and an outside diameter of 17.375 in (441.33 mm). A quad-ring delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is known for outstanding high-temperature capability, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in oil and gas, high-temperature process equipment, and semiconductor equipment.
