-400 RED SILICONE 70D O-RING

Ordered as S70400, this is an AS568-400 red Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.35 in (34.29 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 1.9 in (48.26 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Expect good resistance to dry heat, extreme heat and cold, and ozone and UV exposure. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Silicone is widely chosen for excellent electrical insulating properties, physiological inertness and low toxicity. Continuous operating temperature is published at -80°F (-62.2°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to concentrated acids or abrasive dynamic service will shorten service life.
