Ordered as TFE401, this is an AS568-401 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.475 in (37.47 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.025 in (51.44 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for very wide continuous service temperature range and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. Expect good resistance to oxidizing media, solvents, and steam. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). Verify compatibility before use with molten alkali metals or service requiring elastic recovery.

Typical settings include aggressive-media pipelines, chemical processing, and laboratory equipment.
