A80402 is an AS568-402 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.6 in (40.64 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.15 in (54.61 mm). In service, this o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Aflas (TFE/P) is specified here for strong resistance to rapid gas decompression and proven performance in aggressive downhole environments. The compound resists amines and corrosion inhibitors, hot water, and sour gas and hydrogen sulfide. Published continuous service range is -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Applications involving low-temperature dynamic service or some chlorinated solvents call for a different compound.
