This o-ring is supplied in AS568-402 brown Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 1.6 in (40.64 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.15 in (54.61 mm), catalogued under part number VB75402. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. It resists many acids, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or ketones and esters will shorten service life.
