-402 BLACK FKM 90D O-RING

Part number V90402 is an AS568-402 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.6 in (40.64 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.15 in (54.61 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. The material holds up against many acids, aggressive chemicals, and aromatic hydrocarbons. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to amines or hot water and steam will shorten service life.

Typical settings include chemical processing, aerospace, and high-temperature process equipment.
