This o-ring is supplied in AS568-402 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A built to an inside diameter of 1.6 in (40.64 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.15 in (54.61 mm), catalogued under part number HSN90402. It remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.
HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability and strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. It resists modern refrigerants, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and petroleum oils and fuels. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where ketones or strong oxidizing acids are present.
You will find this material specified across engine timing systems, heavy-duty powertrain, and automotive air conditioning.
Stocked as HSN90402 and sold individually. As always, verify media compatibility and operating conditions against the requirements of your specific application. APG supports cross-referencing from drawings, samples and competitor numbers when a listed size is not an exact fit.
