Ordered as N70403, this is an AS568-403 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 1.725 in (43.82 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.275 in (57.79 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

As a material, Neoprene (Chloroprene) is known for good resilience across a moderate temperature band and inherent flame-retarding characteristics. It resists sunlight and salt spray, moderate petroleum oil exposure, and ozone and weathering. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C) in continuous service.
