-405 BLACK EPDM 80D O-RING

E80PC405 is an AS568-405 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 1.975 in (50.17 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.525 in (64.14 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. Expect good resistance to phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, water and steam, and ketones. Published continuous service range is -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in potable water applications, brake and phosphate ester systems, and outdoor equipment.
