568-405 GREEN HNBR (HSN) 70 ORINGS

APG stocks the HS70405, an AS568-405 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 1.975 in (50.17 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.525 in (64.14 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) offers excellent abrasion and tear strength, the oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability. The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and ozone and weathering. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where esters or strong oxidizing acids are present.

It sees regular use in automotive air conditioning, engine timing systems, and commercial refrigeration.
