Part number VB90408 is an AS568-408 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.35 in (59.69 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.9 in (73.66 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to chlorinated solvents, engine and transmission fluids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Viton® (FKM) is known for very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines call for a different compound.
