V90408 is an AS568-408 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.35 in (59.69 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.9 in (73.66 mm). In service, this o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Viton® (FKM) delivers very low compression set at elevated temperature and the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. The material holds up against petroleum oils and fuels, many acids, and aromatic hydrocarbons. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines call for a different compound.

Common environments for this compound include chemical processing, high-temperature process equipment, and automotive fuel systems.
