Ordered as HSN90408, this is an AS568-408 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.35 in (59.69 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.9 in (73.66 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified for improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. The material holds up against modern refrigerants, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and petroleum oils and fuels. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). Applications involving chlorinated hydrocarbons or ketones call for a different compound.
