TFE408 is an AS568-408 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.35 in (59.69 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.9 in (73.66 mm). In service, this o-ring delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

PTFE (Teflon) is specified here for very wide continuous service temperature range and non-stick, non-contaminating surface characteristics. This material stands up to steam, solvents, and oxidizing media. Rated temperature range runs from -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C) in continuous service. Verify compatibility before use with service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature.

Typical settings include laboratory equipment, chemical processing, and pharmaceutical and biotech.
