Ordered as U70408, this is an AS568-408 clear Polyurethane (AU/EU) 70 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 2.35 in (59.69 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 2.9 in (73.66 mm). The o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

Polyurethane (AU/EU) is specified here for very high tensile strength and load capacity, long wear life in dynamic reciprocating service. It resists ozone, abrasion and wear, and impact and shock loading. Continuous operating temperature is published at -65°F (-53.9°C) to 200°F (93.3°C). Applications involving prolonged humidity at elevated temperature or acids and bases call for a different compound.
