-409 BLACK CHEMOURS VITON 75D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-409 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A with an inside diameter of 2.475 in (62.87 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.025 in (76.84 mm), catalogued under part number VITON75409. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists many acids, aggressive chemicals, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) is specified for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in amines or hot water and steam.

It sees regular use in semiconductor equipment, chemical processing, and aerospace.
