-409 BLACK EPDM 80D O-RING

E80PC409 is an AS568-409 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 2.475 in (62.87 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.025 in (76.84 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is widely chosen for very good flexibility at low temperature, outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance. Expect good resistance to dilute acids and alkalis, water and steam, and ketones. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving aromatic hydrocarbons or mineral oil-based lubricants call for a different compound.

Typical settings include potable water applications, solar and roofing assemblies, and outdoor equipment.
