This o-ring is supplied in AS568-412 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 2.85 in (72.39 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.4 in (86.36 mm), catalogued under part number A80412. It compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

The material holds up against strong bases, brake fluids and phosphate esters, and amines and corrosion inhibitors. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Aflas (TFE/P) is known for proven performance in aggressive downhole environments and high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match. Continuous operating temperature is published at -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). It is not the right choice where some chlorinated solvents or low-temperature dynamic service are present.
