The E80PC412 is an AS568-412 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 2.85 in (72.39 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.4 in (86.36 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

As a material, EPDM (EPR) is known for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, excellent hot water and steam resistance. It resists dilute acids and alkalis, ketones, and brake fluid. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to petroleum oils and fuels or mineral oil-based lubricants will shorten service life.
