Ordered as V90414, this is an AS568-414 black Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.1 in (78.74 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.65 in (92.71 mm). The o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

The compound resists engine and transmission fluids, many acids, and chlorinated solvents. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) delivers very low compression set at elevated temperature and outstanding high-temperature capability. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or ketones and esters will shorten service life.
