568-415 FEP ENCAPSULATED VITON ORING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-415 black PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® 90 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 3.225 in (81.92 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.775 in (95.89 mm), catalogued under part number TEV80415. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

PTFE-Encapsulated Viton® is specified here for excellent resistance to permeation and contamination, long service life in aggressive chemical duty. The compound resists steam, nearly all process chemicals, and aggressive oxidizers. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving installation over sharp edges without care or service requiring tight-radius dynamic flexing call for a different compound.

It sees regular use in aggressive-media valves and pumps, semiconductor equipment, and chemical processing.
