568-416 HSN90 DURO ORINGS

APG stocks the HSN90416, an AS568-416 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.35 in (85.09 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 3.9 in (99.06 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for oil resistance of nitrile with substantially better heat capability, improved ozone and weathering resistance over standard nitrile. Expect good resistance to heat and oxidation, sour gas and amine inhibitors, and ozone and weathering. Rated temperature range runs from -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C) in continuous service. Applications involving esters or strong oxidizing acids call for a different compound.

Typical settings include heavy-duty powertrain, automotive air conditioning, and oilfield and downhole equipment.
