-417 BLACK AFLAS 80D O-RING

A80417 is an AS568-417 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring with an inside diameter of 3.475 in (88.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.025 in (102.24 mm). In service, this o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

As a material, Aflas (TFE/P) delivers strong resistance to rapid gas decompression and high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match. The compound resists brake fluids and phosphate esters, amines and corrosion inhibitors, and high-temperature steam. Published continuous service range is -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to low-temperature dynamic service or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.

Typical settings include power generation, downhole tooling, and chemical processing.
