This o-ring is supplied in AS568-417 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 3.475 in (88.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.025 in (102.24 mm), catalogued under part number VB90417. It delivers dependable bidirectional sealing in a compact groove envelope.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. The compound resists petroleum oils and fuels, engine and transmission fluids, and aggressive chemicals. Service temperature is rated from -15°F (-26.1°C) through 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to low-molecular-weight organic acids or amines will shorten service life.
