Part number N70417 is an AS568-417 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.475 in (88.27 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.025 in (102.24 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Expect good resistance to mild acids, moderate petroleum oil exposure, and sunlight and salt spray. Neoprene (Chloroprene) is valued for inherent flame-retarding characteristics and good resilience across a moderate temperature band. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
