The o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

The material holds up against brake fluid, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and dilute acids and alkalis. That behavior comes from the compound itself: EPDM (EPR) offers outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, strong performance in outdoor and exposed installations.
