E80PC418 is an AS568-418 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.6 in (91.44 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.15 in (105.41 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

EPDM (EPR) is known for outstanding weather, ozone and sunlight resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. The material holds up against ketones, phosphate ester hydraulic fluids, and dilute acids and alkalis. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Applications involving mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels call for a different compound.

Typical settings include potable water applications, outdoor equipment, and water and steam systems.
