Part number TFE418 is an AS568-418 white PTFE (Teflon) 55 Shore D O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 3.6 in (91.44 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.15 in (105.41 mm). An o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

This material stands up to steam, strong acids and bases, and nearly all industrial chemicals. That behavior comes from the compound itself: PTFE (Teflon) delivers excellent dielectric properties and a very wide continuous service temperature range. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 500°F (260°C). It is not the right choice where service requiring elastic recovery or elemental fluorine at temperature are present.
