N70420 is an AS568-420 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.85 in (97.79 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.4 in (111.76 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies.

Neoprene (Chloroprene) is specified here for dependable general-purpose sealing in exposed installations and strong performance in refrigeration circuits. This material stands up to refrigerants and ammonia, sunlight and salt spray, and mild acids. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). It is not the right choice where aromatic hydrocarbons or chlorinated solvents are present.
