-421 BLACK AFLAS 80D O-RING

A80421 is an AS568-421 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 3.975 in (100.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.525 in (114.94 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

It resists amines and corrosion inhibitors, strong bases, and hot water. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Aflas (TFE/P) is specified for high-temperature steam capability that most fluoroelastomers cannot match and exceptional resistance to amine-based additives. Rated temperature range runs from -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C) in continuous service. Applications involving low-temperature dynamic service or aromatic hydrocarbons call for a different compound.
