568-421 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

TES70421 is an AS568-421 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 3.975 in (100.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.525 in (114.94 mm). In service, this o-ring remains the most cost-effective sealing element available for pressurized assemblies. The catalog record notes: ORING 70 Durometer.

PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is specified for a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and a seamless PTFE jacket over a resilient silicone core. The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, wide temperature swings, and steam. Continuous operating temperature is published at -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges will shorten service life.
