The N70422 is an AS568-422 black Neoprene (Chloroprene) 70 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.1 in (104.14 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.65 in (118.11 mm). This o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Neoprene (Chloroprene) is specified here for good resilience across a moderate temperature band, balanced combination of oil and weather resistance. Expect good resistance to refrigerants and ammonia, moderate petroleum oil exposure, and sunlight and salt spray. The material carries a published service range of -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
