-423 BLACK AFLAS 80D O-RING

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-423 black Aflas (TFE/P) 80 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 4.225 in (107.32 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 4.775 in (121.29 mm), catalogued under part number A80423. It seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

Aflas (TFE/P) is specified here for exceptional resistance to amine-based additives and excellent electrical insulating properties. The compound resists strong bases, sour gas and hydrogen sulfide, and amines and corrosion inhibitors. The material carries a published service range of -25°F (-31.7°C) to 450°F (232.2°C). Exposure to some chlorinated solvents or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.
