VITON75427 is an AS568-427 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 4.725 in (120.02 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.275 in (133.99 mm). In service, this o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

The compound resists chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and aggressive chemicals. Viton® (FKM) is valued for excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit. Rated temperature range runs from -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. Applications involving hot water and steam or low-molecular-weight organic acids call for a different compound.
