APG stocks the H50427, an AS568-427 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 50 Shore A O-Ring built to an inside diameter of 4.725 in (120.02 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.275 in (133.99 mm). An o-ring creates a positive seal at flange, piston and rod interfaces without added hardware.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is widely chosen for an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs and the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer. The material holds up against petroleum-based oils, propane and butane, and greases and lubricants. Continuous operating temperature is published at -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C). Applications involving ketones or strong acids call for a different compound.

Typical settings include agricultural equipment, general industrial maintenance, and automotive.
