This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-428 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile supplied with an inside diameter of 4.85 in (123.19 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 5.4 in (137.16 mm), catalogued under part number SV70428. It seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

It resists many acids, chlorinated solvents, and petroleum oils and fuels. Viton® (FKM) offers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and outstanding high-temperature capability. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It is not the right choice where ketones and esters or hot water and steam are present.

It sees regular use in high-temperature process equipment, semiconductor equipment, and aerospace.
