As a material, EPDM (EPR) delivers excellent hot water and steam resistance, very good flexibility at low temperature. This material stands up to brake fluid, ketones, and water and steam. The material carries a published service range of -65°F (-53.9°C) to 300°F (148.9°C). Exposure to petroleum oils and fuels or aromatic hydrocarbons will shorten service life.
