As a material, HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is known for long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty, strong resistance to rapid gas decompression. The material holds up against ozone and weathering, heat and oxidation, and modern refrigerants. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C).
