The SH70434 is an AS568-434 black Buna-N (Nitrile) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring with an inside diameter of 5.6 in (142.24 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 6.15 in (156.21 mm). This quad-ring uses a four-lobed profile to create two sealing surfaces per side, reducing the squeeze needed to seal.

As a material, Buna-N (Nitrile) is valued for the most widely specified general-purpose sealing elastomer and an economical choice for high-volume maintenance programs. The compound resists many alcohols, water, and petroleum-based oils. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 250°F (121.1°C).
