Ordered as VITON75440, this is an AS568-440 black Viton® (FKM) 75 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 6.725 in (170.82 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.275 in (184.79 mm). The o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

Viton® (FKM) delivers long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. Expect good resistance to aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Applications involving amines or ketones and esters call for a different compound.
