The SV70440 is an AS568-440 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 6.725 in (170.82 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 7.275 in (184.79 mm). This quad-ring seats in a standard o-ring gland while offering improved dynamic performance.

This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, aromatic hydrocarbons, and petroleum oils and fuels. That behavior comes from the compound itself: Viton® (FKM) offers excellent resistance to compression set and permeation, very low compression set at elevated temperature. Continuous operating temperature is published at -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). It should not be specified for service in ketones and esters or hot water and steam.
