Part number HSN90447 is an AS568-447 green HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) 90 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 8.975 in (227.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 9.525 in (241.94 mm). An o-ring seats in a machined groove and forms a leak-tight barrier when compressed between two mating surfaces.

HNBR (Hydrogenated Nitrile) is specified here for excellent abrasion and tear strength, long service life in refrigerant and oilfield duty. The material holds up against sour gas and amine inhibitors, heat and oxidation, and petroleum oils and fuels. Published continuous service range is -40°F (-40°C) to 325°F (162.8°C). It is not the right choice where esters or strong oxidizing acids are present.

Typical settings include heavy-duty powertrain, oilfield and downhole equipment, and engine timing systems.
