This quad-ring is supplied in AS568-452 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile with an inside diameter of 11.475 in (291.47 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.025 in (305.44 mm), catalogued under part number SV70452. It delivers lower friction and better sealing stability than a comparable round-section o-ring.

Viton® (FKM) offers the industry benchmark where nitrile reaches its thermal limit and very low compression set at elevated temperature. This material stands up to chlorinated solvents, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
