Part number E80PC453 is an AS568-453 black EPDM (EPR) 80 Shore A O-Ring measuring an inside diameter of 11.975 in (304.17 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 12.525 in (318.14 mm). An o-ring compresses into its gland to block fluid or gas migration across a joint.

EPDM (EPR) is specified here for good electrical insulating characteristics, excellent hot water and steam resistance. It resists dilute acids and alkalis, brake fluid, and water and steam. Service temperature is rated from -65°F (-53.9°C) through 300°F (148.9°C). It should not be specified for service in mineral oil-based lubricants or petroleum oils and fuels.
