568-457 FEP ENCAPSULATED SILICONE

This o-ring is supplied in AS568-457 red PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone 70 Shore A supplied with an inside diameter of 13.975 in (354.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 14.525 in (368.94 mm), catalogued under part number TES70457. The compound resists nearly all process chemicals, wide temperature swings, and strong acids and solvents. PTFE-Encapsulated Silicone is widely chosen for a non-contaminating, non-stick sealing surface and chemical inertness of PTFE with the wide temperature range of silicone. Rated temperature range runs from -75°F (-59.4°C) to 400°F (204.4°C) in continuous service. It should not be specified for service in tight-radius dynamic flexing or installation over sharp edges.
