The SV70457 is an AS568-457 black Viton® (FKM) 70 Shore A square profile Quad-Ring built to an inside diameter of 13.975 in (354.97 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 14.525 in (368.94 mm). This quad-ring provides a dual sealing band on each contact face for improved reliability.

As a material, Viton® (FKM) is specified for outstanding high-temperature capability and very low compression set at elevated temperature. This material stands up to aromatic hydrocarbons, engine and transmission fluids, and chlorinated solvents. The material carries a published service range of -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C). Exposure to ketones and esters or hot water and steam will shorten service life.
