Part number VB90458 is an AS568-458 brown Viton® (FKM) 90 Shore A O-Ring supplied with an inside diameter of 14.475 in (367.67 mm), a cross section of 0.275 in (6.99 mm), and an outside diameter of 15.025 in (381.64 mm). An o-ring provides a reliable static or dynamic seal by deforming into its gland under assembly load.

Viton® (FKM) is specified here for long service life in hot, chemically aggressive environments, excellent resistance to compression set and permeation. The compound resists aromatic hydrocarbons, petroleum oils and fuels, and engine and transmission fluids. Published continuous service range is -15°F (-26.1°C) to 400°F (204.4°C).
